Nefertiti

This is a kit by DMC from their art deco range, it took approximately 4 months to stitch, I haven't ever crossed stitched an oval design before, I enjoyed every minute of it, it will hopefully be featuring in a future issue of the the magazine 'Cross Stitcher'

Scarlet Wizard Week 3

I have uploaded a photo of this weeks progress on the Wizard @ http://community.webshots.com/user/vixen27?vhost=community&vhost=community

I have started to enjoy stitching it now, probably because I am starting to see what it is.

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows

Yes I was one of those Millions of people who got their copy at 1 min past midnight, only I wasn't going to queue in the rain, went to the local Asda store, and I couldn't beleive it, they were queing right around the store, now when book 6 came out, I also went out to get it just after midnight, and bought it from Asda, but there was no queues, just walked straight into the store, picked a copy up, and off to the checkout with it, that was that.

Last night was totally differant, so having decided not to queue, just out of intrest, decided to see what the local Waterstones Book Store was like, just as bad, (incidentally we did all the stone work for that store) anyway, having decided to give up on this, and go home, I thought why not check out Tescos, and would you believe it, not a Queue in sight, so there you have it, pays to shop around.

Straight in, picked a book up paid for it, on way home, all in 5 mins.

Still not read it though, it is on my bookshelf, as I really do need to start my RR this weekend.

Lightning Strike

Yesterday afternoon we had a Lightning Storm, just before it started about 1.15pm I was on the phone with my mum, & the line went dead, I actually thought she had hung up on me, it turned out that it was the storm that had knocked the phone out, but it never effected my Internet or TV.

Then about 5 Min's after the phone went dead, the lightning lit up my back garden, and there was almighty crack of thunder above my house, I must of been directly under the storm, anyway, i phoned Virgin Media using my mobile to report the fault with the phone line, and apparently i am now God and i caused the storm, so there you have it folks, next time there is a lightning strike, and everything stops working, you know who to blame, not mother nature, oh, no, for it is not her fault, you must blame me

And these people get paid!!

I didn't actually get any stitching done yesterday (sobs) as I was so drained, but I really must start my RR today, I have decided on flowers as my theme, because that is something I have never stitched before, and it will look really pretty in my kitchen I think

Scarlet Wizard

Well I have spent the best part of 3 or 4 hours stitching on this, I would say I have about another hour or so left with it, before I have call it a day with it, when it is under false lighting, it is really hard to see what I am doing with it being on black 18ct Aida.

Will upload a photo of it to my web shot album later on this evening

Royal Holiday by Nora Corbett. (Mirabilia)

This is another project I am working on and again it can be found on the webshots, the photo I have uploaded here, is just an example of what it will look like.

I have been stitching on it for 6 days now, and enjoying every minute of it.

Scarlet Wizard

I have had this cross stitch kit for just short of 2 years now, I won it on eBay & was dead excited when it arrived, only for me to then start it, and it all went horribly wrong.

So away it went to the back of my stash box.

I picked it up again in April of this year, only for me to put it away again because I needed to complete one for a birthday in June, I seriously started on it again at the start of last week, but this is what it should look like when complete
I wasn't enjoying it to be truthful and decided to chart its progress each week, these can be found if anyone is intrested at http://community.webshots.com/user/vixen27?vhost=community&vhost=community
